It is mandatory on Kinky to place a working telephone number with your advertisement. By a working phone number we mean a phone number that can receive both phone calls and SMS messages. When creating your advertisement, you can't proceed to the next step if your phone number has not been verified.
You can only use Dutch, Belgian or German telephone numbers with your advertisement. Phone numbers from other countries are not allowed.
How does the phone verification work?
- You first enter your country code followed by the telephone number that you want to place with the advertisement
After you have entered the phone number, click on 'Send SMS Code' and we will send you a 6-digit code via SMS
- Grab your phone and see if you have received the SMS with the code
- Now enter the code from the SMS in 'Code' and click on 'Verify'
After clicking on 'Verify' your number has been approved and will be displayed with your advertisement. If you have not yet received the SMS with the code, please click on 'Resend code'.
Change your phone number
If you already have a verified phone number, but you want to change it to a different phone number please go to Management -> Advertisement -> Contact Info and click on 'Change phone number'.
In order for you to finalize changing your phone number it needs to be extra verified by uploading a selfie holding a piece of paper on which you write the new phone number. One of our moderators will compare the written phone number with the phone number you've just edited in your advertisement management page. We will then compare the selfie with the verification photo you've submitted when creating your advertisement. This is to make sure that only you are able to change the phone number and not someone else.
During this process of changing the phone number your advertisement will go offline until we have approved your new phone number! We work from Monday till Friday during regular office hours 9 A.M. - 5 P.M. So please take this into account when changing your phone number.
